How much do the materials cost?

The entire eCourse can be purchased for $139. The course contains all the information found in the “Master the SAT/ACT Class”. SAT/ACT CLASSES

How often are your SAT/ACT prep classes offered?

The classes vary year by year, but are usually offered through the spring, summer and fall. They are held all over the United States. Click here for more information and the current class schedule. They are usually in high demand, so you will need to sign up early.

What does the “Master the SAT/ACT Class” cover?

How do I get College Prep Genius to come to my city?

Our teachers frequently travels across America to teach the College Prep Genius program. All one needs to bring College Prep Genius to your hometown is an adequate facility and a minimum number of students. We will take care of the rest. Check out our Host a Class page. What do I need to bring/do before the class?

Bring pencils, a calculator, snacks, drink and lunch on a 2 day class. It is best to take a real or practice College Board test before the class so students will have a baseline score and can know how much they improved after the class and after doing the follow-up homework. A free practice test can be picked up at most guidance counselor’s offices or downloaded for free at https://sat.collegeboard.org/practice/sat-practice-test.

If I took your class once, should I take it again?

Although the class is complete in and of itself, some students find it beneficial to take the Master the SAT/ACT class multiple times. Depending on a student’s individual goals and learning style, taking the College Prep Genius course a second time may help a student retain different knowledge and clarify certain strategies. There is a discount for students who retake the class and re-use their materials. Please contact your class coordinator to find out more details.

How can I take advantage of your class if I don’t live in the DFW area and you’re not able to come to my city?

Which is better for the student, to take the class or purchase the online course?

Every student is different. Some learn better in a classroom setting and others learn better at their own pace with the course. All students who take the bonus eCourse class in the cost, so students can go back over the strategies, techniques and patterns over and over again. It is not only important to know why the right answer is right, but also why the other four are wrong and how not to fall for the wrong pattern on the real test.

Since most people need repetition to really get down the information, students can take advantage of this by either taking the class and reviewing the online course or vice versa. The advantage of having the online course is the ability to go back over it again and again.

Why is there homework following your class and where can it be found?

Students will only retain a small percentage of what they hear the first time, so homework helps to solidify the information in order to apply it appropriately. The follow-up homework and steps to success reinforce what was learned in the class and can be downloaded at collegeprepgenius.com/homework.

How long is the eCourse

Each of the twelve lessons run around 45 minutes- 65 minutes in length. (This does not include time to work the problems in the workbook.) This format makes it simple and easy to incorporate the eCourse lessons into a regular class session. The approximate times per lesson are as follows:

  • Lesson 1 – 60 minutes
  • Lesson 2 – 39 min;
  • Lesson 3 – 28 min;
  • Lesson 4 – 47 min;
  • Lesson 5 – 46 min;

Can I use your materials to teach in my classroom?

Yes. We have a licensing policy that allows CPG materials to be taught in a classroom. To participate, you would need to purchase the eCourse, and each student will be required to purchase their own book and workbook (can be ordered for a discounted group rate). For more information, please contact us.

How do I use the program?

Start by downloading the homework atcollegeprepgenius.com/homework. Make sure you have all your supplies (e.g., College Prep Genius textbook, workbook and online course). You will also need access to The Official SAT Study Guide by The College Board (First or Second edition). Read the “How to use this book” in both the textbook and workbook. Put in disc one and follow the instructions for each lesson.

We are using your program in our co-op/classroom so does every student need both the textbook and workbook?

Yes, per our licensing agreement. Students will only retain a small percentage of what they hear the first time in class, so to solidify the information, they will need to go back over it again by using the textbook. The workbook is needed for both in-class assignments and follow-up homework.

Can your program be counted as an elective? If so, what can I use for a course description?

Yes, many schools offer test prep as its own class. This program can easily be incorporated into your school or homeschool schedule as a 12 week class. Here is a description you can use:

College Prep Genius SAT/ACT Test Prep

This one semester programs teaches students the logic behind the test questions and reveals hidden recurring patterns that point students to the answer. Students will learn shortcuts, strategies and trick answers to avoid. Students will work actual problems in the classroom and will learn the reasoning behind the right answers as well as why the wrong ones are incorrect. Each week students will have corresponding homework that will reinforce what was learned in the classroom. There will also be a follow-up checklist for continual success.
